Cindy Tells Us About Her Dental Health:
Thirty years ago, I was in a motorcycle accident; I was going around a curve when a Mack truck hit me head on. My teeth were broken off in the accident. I had them fixed with crowns at the time, but now they are all breaking off. My mouth is now in shambles. I have a lot of pain and infection, and my jaw cracks and pops. I can’t really use my teeth very much anymore.
Cindy Tells Us Why Restoring Her Smile Is Important to Her:
To me, to be able to smile again is very important. People tell me to smile, I say I can’t. I’m too ashamed. My self-esteem is low. I didn’t even go to my family reunion last year because of my teeth.
Cindy Tells Us Why She Thinks She Is a Good Candidate for the Second Chance Program:
I have been a good person. Maybe if I’m chosen, this will be my chance to smile again. And I would smile and tell everyone how I got the smile, and besides, I miss eating corn on the cob.
