Dr. D’Vano Forbes makes his way to Balaci Oral and Facial Surgery from the island of Turks and Caicos. He is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a proud member of the American Dental Association.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biology and earning his doctorate of dental medicine from Boston University, Dr. Forbes was attracted to the oral and maxillofacial specialty because it offered a creative and innovative way to make an immediate impact on patients’ lives. After completing his residency program at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Dr. Forbes began practicing in 2015. He was in search of a place that modeled what he would like to be doing in the future and offered an opportunity for growth. Dr. Balaci’s forward-thinking and patient-centered approach to care was a perfect fit.
When patients come to Dr. Forbes, he wants them to know they won’t just be treated like family, they will be treated because they “are family.” Providing help and offering support is what he finds to be the most rewarding part of his profession. If someone is nervous, they can trust that he will be there to calm their nerves and ensure they have a good experience. It’s about taking the time to understand the patient—their goals, frustrations, concerns, anxieties, and history all help him provide an experience that exceeds their expectations.
Outside of work, Dr. Forbes enjoys cooking, is an avid reader, and likes to travel with close family and friends. He is excited to be part of the Balaci Oral and Facial Surgery team and looks forward to providing patients with trusted, compassionate care for all of their oral surgery needs.
